Astro Trading - Moonlight Shine Upon Me! (FB)

Trading with Heaven and Earth.
“When the moon is in the Seventh House and Jupiter aligns with Mars” – goes the beginning of one of the most popular 1960’s songs by the 5th Dimension. For all of you who are familiar with the song, “Age of Aquarius,” you’ll appreciate my commentary; and for those of you who are not, it’s a good time to pull up YouTube! It will put you in the right frame of mind to learn about the esoteric Technical Analysis discipline of Astro Trading.
Astro Trading is a method of Technical Analysis that is based upon the idea that the financial markets are influenced by planetary movements and lunar cycles.
Sounds crazy and out of this world right? Not necessarily.
The fact of the matter is that mankind has always held a fascination towards the heavens and how it relates to our experiences on earth. This applies to trading as well! From Gann to Fibonacci – traders have been seeking a reason as to why price action occurs and how to take advantage of it. The reality that there exists a technical analysis interpretation of interstellar events, demonstrates that as traders – we need to keep an open mind about it all.
Looking at Facebook’s (FB) chart provides an interesting take upon traditional technical analysis methods. As of March 7th, you’ll notice that a change of trend to the downside might be underway. After a brief upward trend in late February, a Doji ensues in early March which marks a stalling and reversal in price. Interestingly, the circle above the Doji, represents a Full Moon. Is this a coincidence or can we extrapolate additional information?
For fun, lets examine the chart thirty (30) days prior. Doing so, the presence of a Full Moon back in February - takes place at the height of (FB)’s price and marks a change of trend to the downside!
